Collection: Mattresses
The bed frame decides how the room looks; the mattress decides how you sleep. We stock three pocket-sprung tensions and two foam constructions so you can match the mattress to how you actually sleep rather than to a marketing name.
How many pocket springs do you need?
1000 pocket springs suits guest rooms, children and lighter sleepers — responsive, well supported and the best value in the range. 2000 is the sensible default for a main bed shared by two adults: more springs means each one is smaller, so the mattress follows your shape more closely and transfers less movement across the bed. 3000 is for heavier builds or anyone who wants the firmest support with a pillow-top surface.
Each spring sits in its own fabric pocket and compresses independently, which is why a partner turning over does not roll you with them.
Memory foam and orthopaedic
Memory foam moulds to pressure points and holds warmth; orthopaedic is firmer and flatter, and is the usual recommendation for back pain. Both are available with a pillow-top finish.
