Collection: Tall Headboard Beds

These are the beds with the highest headboards we make — 54 and 60 inch upholstered panels that behave more like a padded wall than a conventional headboard. In a room with a high ceiling, a standard headboard leaves an awkward gap of blank wall above the bed; these fill it.

Because the panel is floor-standing rather than bolted to the base, the full height is supported on its own struts and there is no strain on the bed frame. Practically, it also means you can sit up against it to read without a wall behind your head.

What to check before ordering

Measure from the floor to any picture rail, radiator or window sill behind the bed. A 60 inch panel stands five feet from floor level, so it will cover a low window. If in doubt, the 54 inch version clears most standard sills. Our headboard height guide compares 24, 54 and 60 inch in full.
