Collection: Metal Ottoman Beds

A metal ottoman bed gives you the full footprint of the bed as storage. The upholstered top lifts on twin gas struts and stays up on its own, so you can load bedding, suitcases and seasonal clothes into the space underneath without moving the mattress off the frame.

Every base here is a steel ottoman mechanism rather than a timber one — it takes the weight of a heavier mattress and does not develop the sag that wooden lift frames get after a few hundred cycles. The frame above it is handmade upholstered work from our UK workshop, in the same panel, wingback and chesterfield designs as our standard beds.

How much fits underneath

A super king ottoman gives you roughly the volume of four large suitcases; a single still swallows a full duvet set and a vacuum cleaner. Depth is consistent across the base, so nothing is lost to drawer runners.
