What fabric suits a chesterfield bed?
Plush velvet is the classic choice because the buttons pull the pile into light and shadow, which shows off the diamond pattern. Flatter weaves look calmer and more contemporary. Dark colours hide the creases around the buttons better than pale ones.
How do you clean a button-tufted headboard?
Dust settles in the creases around each button. Run a vacuum crevice tool or a soft brush along the lines every week or two. For marks, blot with a damp cloth; don't scrub around the buttons, as that can loosen them.
