Collection: Teddy Boucle Beds

Teddy bouclé is a looped, deep-pile fabric with the texture of a sheepskin coat. On a bed it does something velvet cannot: it catches light as texture rather than sheen, so the frame reads soft and matte instead of glossy. See how it compares in our velvet vs bouclé guide.

It is a warm fabric to sit against and it hides marks well, which makes it a practical choice as well as a decorative one. It suits neutral, layered bedrooms — the kind where the bed is meant to look inviting rather than formal.

Living with bouclé

Vacuum with a soft brush head rather than a beater bar; the loops will pull if they are agitated. Spot-clean with a damp cloth and let it dry naturally. Handled that way it holds its texture for years. In homes with cats or dogs, plush velvet beds are the safer choice.

Questions people ask

What is a cloud bed?

A deeply padded, soft-looking bed frame, usually covered in teddy or bouclé fabric so the whole frame has a pillowy, textured finish. Ours is the Cloud Teddy Bouclé Ottoman Bed. More in our guide: what is a cloud bed?

Is a bouclé bed hard to clean?

No, but it needs the right tool. Vacuum with a soft brush head, never a beater bar, and spot-clean marks with a damp cloth. It hides small marks better than velvet does.

Can I get a bouclé bed with storage?

Yes. The Cloud Teddy Bouclé bed sits on a hydraulic lift ottoman base, so the whole space under the mattress is storage.

Do you make bouclé beds in double and king size?

Yes. The Cloud Teddy Bouclé bed comes in single, small double, double, king and super king, from £299.99.

Bouclé or velvet: which is better?

Bouclé feels warmer and looks matte. Velvet has a sheen and copes better with pets, because claws slide off the pile instead of catching loops. See velvet vs bouclé.
