A cloud bed is an upholstered bed frame padded so deeply that it looks soft and pillowy all over, usually covered in teddy or bouclé fabric. The name comes from that rounded, plump look rather than any particular mechanism. Ours, the Cloud Teddy Bouclé bed, also has an ottoman storage base.
What makes a bed a cloud bed?
Two things: generous padding and a textured fabric. A standard upholstered bed has a padded headboard and a covered frame. A cloud bed carries the padding through so the whole piece reads as one soft shape. Bouclé or teddy fabric finishes the look, because its loops catch light as texture and make the bed look warm and matte instead of shiny.

What is teddy bouclé?
A looped, deep-pile fabric with a texture a bit like a sheepskin coat. It's warm to touch and hides small marks well.
