For a small bedroom, an ottoman bed usually gives the most storage for the floor it takes up. If the foot of the bed is against a wall, choose a side-lift ottoman or a divan with drawers on the open side.

An end lift ottoman opens from the foot of the bed; a side lift opens from one long side. Choose end lift with about 60 cm clear at the foot, side lift when the foot is against a wall.
